i understand the air isn't at 900, the words i used Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Wed, 22 Aug 2007 10:10:46 In Reply to: Vvack: Gotta re-name you, Dramato-matic., RayF, Wed, 22 Aug 2007 08:35:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
were carefully chosen to seem the air was this blazing hot however i never implied that the air was this temperature,
if one was to take out the inter-cooler and run the heated air directly to the chambers it would indeed melt the heat of valve from the intense heat.
this is why turbo car boost very well in cold weather.
the inter-cooler has a chance to cool the compressed air to ambient temperatures.
all i wanted to do is paint a very clear picture of what the inter-coolers purpose is and how there would be no point to equip it on the na.
if i had to guesstimate about where the temp of the air was after the turbo i would put it around 400 degrees, after stock intercooler 200 degree, with the ambient temperature at 100.
(all this talk about my car want makes me want to go for a drive...... yup
a 2 hour cruse to nowhere sounds good later)
