Disconnect battery. Remove airbag. Remove steering wheel and airbag contact ring. Remove 2 torx screws on cast cover. Remove washer, rubber ring, bearing and then the plastic bushing, which will have crumbled such that there is very little left of it. Be careful with the airbag contact ring as it must remain centered to avoid overextending and breaking it at its limit. I costs well over $100 so it's important to handle it with car.
