I stopped by Shorty-n-Dave’s U-pull-it (in king of Prussia PA) over the weekend and was shocked with my finding’s. At the back of the lot I found three notchbacks next to one another, an 85 black and (2) 86’s lt blue and rose quartz. Anyway, all of them were straight and in relatively good shape for being 21 and 22 y/o and were 5 speeds. The blk 85 had about 135k and engine slightly pulled apart. The lt blue 86 had 224k and had various spot’s of rust on it yet looked complete (had a trunk spoiler). The 86 Rose Quartz looked complete, 155k and not much body damage. Mind you all of them had sagging headliners, cracked dashes faded smelly interiors and the black and light blue notches had hood rot on the passenger side.
Interestingly I recognized both the black and lt blue notches because a few years back a friend and I looked at both of them as potential candidates for a project for him. They were at a guy’s shop up in Phoenixville and the funny thing about the lt blue one is the previous owner lived in society hill (Philadelphia) and I used to walk by it all the time on my way to work year’s back (can’t miss the phila parking authority sticker and the 4 door trunk spoiler).

BTW, I’m not affiliated with these guy’s, just wanted to put it out there for everyone whose interested
