I swear I've seen this discussed, but can't find the threads now.

Some day, I'd like to replace the ABS steering wheel on my 91 SPG with one of the earlier 3-spoke Momo, non-ABS style wheels. At some point, my mechanic is going to pull the wheel to re-align it w/ the wheels. (wheel is turned a bit to the left when car is running straight; steering alignment is true) I'm hoping that's my opportunity to ditch the bumper car-style steering wheel.

Is this a fairly straightforward swap? Anyone done this, and does it look clean? Not concerned about airbag deployment issues in performing work or SRS.
