I just went to check on a solid 79 5dr that had been parked at a house in my parents neighborhood for years, only to find out its now gone. I talked to the owner about a month ago, and he was happy to sell me the car for praticaly nothing along with many spares too. I told him I would be back in a couple of weeks with some cash and a trailor as I needed to make space in storage and my time was limited. Well, I went back tonight and the car was gone. The man wasn't home but his daughter told me he donated it. ARGG!!! A "saab guy" donating(or junking) such a rare easily restorable saab!!! A month ago, he was in no hurry to get rid of it. To top it off, the mans dog bit me.
Anyway, is there any way to locate and buy donated cars? I know most non running donated cars get junked.
Sorry, just wanted to vent. I feel sick now and probably won't get any sleep tonight.
