The device is really straightforward - I'll take a picture of it later on, but essentially it's three 2-position (on/off) toggle switches and a single position push button (normally off, push for on). The main battery supply (big gray wire) daisy chains from one toggle switch to the next, terminating at the starter. The other side of each toggle switch is one of the electrical supplies - there is one for +54, one for +30, and one for +X/+S. The button's other side is +50, the starter solenoid. Flipping on any switch provides power to that circuit, and pushing the button spins the starter. I conveniently used spare wire harness so that all I have to do it match colors, with the exception of the main power lead which is red, but has an integrated 30a fuse "just in case" so I don't accidentally fry a car's wiring. :)
I built the device when I needed to get a car home that had a partially disassembled ignition switch housing and no key... It's come in very handy several times (like Sunday night).
