Odd AIC behavior

1991 900 16v Turbo Convertible

Hello All,
Well, I've got something odd going on. Lately I've been tracking down and eliminating my vacuum leaks. It looks like I found the last one. I've had a problem where the car is horribly slow under acceleration until 4000 rpm and then picks up somewhat. A Toyota Camry completely smokes my car. And I have to admit, that I was whipped by a Honda Civic recently (and no, it wasn't modified.) I let that shameful info out to give you objective measures.

Anyrate, the car now bogs down under acceleration. It doesn't really want to do anything until you hit 4,000 rpm and then it takes off.

I checked the AIC the other day off the car. The first thing I noticed is that the hose closest to the firewall was oily, both in and outside. It's like it was sweating oil through the tube wall.

I looked inside where that hose enters the body of the intake manifold and found that there was some oil sitting there. I was going to clean the butterfly and was suprised to see this.

The really odd thing was that when I tap the throttle, that same hose swells from pressure. It's like it's expanding from the exhaust gas flowing in. And it's very noticeable.

Any ideas? Is the AIC bad? The car idles great and has no problems with stalling decelerating. It just bogs down until 4,000rpm. Then there is modest acceleration.

To date I've:

Found and repaired various vacuum leaks.
Installed a new 2.5 bar FPR
