Just try a piece of neoprene, right over the hole, with a single hose clamp right over that. Even, cut a piece out of an old innertube, but the rubber isn't probably good enough.
ZWith the right rubber, patch would last for years.
Can anyone suggest a source for a little patch piece?
A piece of split hose seems like it would be so thick it might be hard to squeeze it tight enough with a hose clamp, but that might work too. Say, fuel line. Don't need to worry about pressure as the hose clamp takes care of resisting that. Put the split on the far side of the line of course.
And visit some C900 shops and see if you can buy that line off a junk rack, cheap. They should still be able to use it for a core if they need to.
Is that a pressure line, or a return? If the return, pressure is nothing to worry about.
