Sorry for your mishap. Too bad that j-yard isn't in LA county where I could pay my respects proper and salvage a few parts. When I sacked my original 82 900, I actually went back and pulled some parts I knew were in good shape. Items like the brake and clutch master cylinders, plus the clutch plate, all things I had replaced or refurbished not long before the scrapping. I would have taken them before the scrapping, but I drove the car there and had a friend drive me back. It took about 2 weeks for it to make it's way out into the yard proper, after they removed things like the battery and gas tank, and drained the oil. I'll admit my heart sank when I saw it sitting on the metal blocks. I wouldn't have gotten rid of it in the first place, but I bought another 82 - special edition APC roll out turbo sedan with all the additions and accessories available at the time - for a song and combined the best of both into one car. One of them had to go, and 'ol Sandy was it. Poor Sandy, sitting there all proud while people picked it clean of whatever good parts were left.
