Just to make sure....
1. The release pin comes out the side of the key cylinder bore about 7'oclock if 12 o'clock is straight forward and 6 o'clock is toward the back of the car. The release pin comes in horizontally into the vertical bore hole at the bottom of the full assembly. I drilled out the cover plug on the outside side of the casing for a straight channel hole into the release pin hole.
2. The pin can only be depressed when the key is turned half way between park and aux-on position. Then the cylinder can be pulled out using the inserted key in that mid position.
3. If you do not have a key then you must drive the pin into the cylinder with a drift but that will distroy the key cylinder and it will have to be replaced.
