Hey all,
Thank you for your advice.
I finally got a look at it in the light with the wheel off today, and the lower control arm is *definitely* bent.
The spindle looks O.K. The ball joints look O.K. but I have spares anyway. The tie rod looks straight, although the end may have busted, not sure (didn't unload the suspension). THe upper arm looks ok.
And, sigh of relief, the frame has no visible wrinkles (or more appropriately none of the 1/8" layer of sludge/gunk has been disturbed lol)
Due to time constraints and lack of appropriate tools, I may have to take it into a shop, though, because I need to be able to go to work :)
