the net, & well all i see is people saying to stay away from platinum with a turbo`ed motor, what was really disturbing to read was,
:What about platinum plugs? In a word, DON'T! Back in the early '90s it was shown that the tips on Bosch Platinum plugs could actually break down under higher boost pressures, resulting in pieces of metal bouncing around inside your combustion chamber. While I've not heard of it happening with other brands of platinum plugs, why take a chance? Steer clear of the platinum's:

so then i kept looking and found something about iridium, while looking for platinum which said this,
:Denso Iridium plugs are serious power and performance for even the most serious of performance minded customers. Pure Iridium has a melting point of almost 700ºC higher than platinum and better withstands overheating, detonation, and oxidation wear. Denso Iridium plugs are combined with Rhodium for superior heat resistance and response. With high power and high heat turbo engines, you need all the help you can battling heat and detonation. Bring in a ringer with Denso Iridium plugs. We highly recommend iridium when running an ECU upgade as the high boost levels are hard on plugs which can lead to high load misfiring. Iridium plugs have shown real improvements in this area.:

there was some info on platinum also,
:Bosch Platinum Plugs
Only Bosch uses a pure platinum center electrode, heat-fused into an extended insulator which reaches self-cleaning temperature only seconds after starting. Electrode gap remains virtually unchanged throughout the plug's longer service life; no need to clean or re-gap. Heavy-duty tapered ground electrode means extended service life, reduced electrode temperature, and improved access to air/fuel mixture. Lower ignition voltage requirement vs. other plug designs deliver reliable cold weather starts and superior operation under all driving conditions.:
with this info i can see how performance levels would rise, being lower voltage requirements needed to fire the plug and i can see the plug would never need to be changed, however
as it stands now I'm 60% iridium and 40% platinum
so lets take a journey over to NGK and see what they have to say,
well that cant say enough about there iradium only place i found ngk platinum and iridium together in the same sentence was here,

:When it comes to spark plugs, NGK is the World Leader. Makers of spark plugs, sparkplug wires and oxygen sensors for virtually every automotive, motorcycle, marine, industrial and small engine application, NGK dominates the world market. NGK is famous for the “V-Groove” sparkplug, the Iridium IX sparkplug and platinum plugs. NGK sparkplugs, wire sets and sensors are used for racing, high performance, sport compacts and light trucks. NGK Iridium plugs are exceptional for use in nitrous fueled, fuel injection and turbo charged engines. NGK is also the original equipment for the majority of the world's auto manufacturers. A substantial number of NGK Spark Plugs and oxygen sensors sold in the United States are made right here in America.:
they dont talk to much about platinum for a turbo-ed applicant.
but lets go one more place,
well the link is probably more appropriate..

im not one to car to much on how many time i need to clean or replace plugs, all i want is pure boost every time.
looking at platinum... well it scares me, running high boost and then hearing of a platinum plug breaking down, then to see the chart where the melting point is less then iridium,,..
i know my chambers heat spike is high but how high i don't know, id rather stay with a plug that's the best to with-stand the heat spike created by the lean fuel/air mix.

platinum may have better fuel range with lower voltage but my pockets cant afford a plug melting and leaving its end trails in my chamber.
