good or bad, if it were the mounts that caused the sound you would have heard it by doing that test. the engine shakes pretty hard when about to stall. does the clunk happen ALWAYS when you accelerate? check out the ball joints and shocks while someone bounces the car, even if they are teh culprit, you could see if they are in working conidtion. if the ball joints boots are ripped, plan on replacing them. they only get worse from there. shock bushings are the easiest to replace, just a one bolt operation. let us know what you find!
