It could be the ignition amplifier (which typically fails when hot, but I mean really hot outside, maybe yours has gone Minnesotan on you) or the NTC (FI engine temperature) sensor (any fluctuating idle?) or the oxygen sensor signal (ever changed the part?) or bad electrical contacts. On an extreme case, since the car is running during cold-start (extra fuel injected via the cold start or standard injectors) and not when warm, you could have an extreme vacuum leak or a failed fuel pressure regulator or a dying fuel pump relay (getting extreme there).
