Had the crank sensor replaced on my '91 900 S.
The shop will charge you 1.5 to 2 hours plus the part.
If you buy it with loose ends/splice-in it costs about $95
bucks and about $200 with the Saab 3pin connector. The
crank sensor is grey, sits on top of the crank, behind the
pulley (hard to see). The wire runs behind the oilfilter and
comes out just below. You can see the connector going
away for a wiring harness hanging around left of the lower
dipstick area. To get the pulley nut off you need a special Saab
tool, a normal wrench/breaker bar with nut will not fit, not enough
space.
