1986 Saab 900t LH Control Unit Ground

I have a 1986 Saab 900 Turbo that I just purchased approximately a month ago. It's been running and driving fine except for going hard into second and popping out of second when I let off the gas, which I suspect are the syncros going out; but that's another problem. Anyways, I went out and started the car the other day and it started fine and then suddenly started surging after about 10seconds and died. I started back up and after about 3 seconds it did the same thing. Now it doesn't start up at all. I went through the Bentley book and did all of the diagnostic checks and found that the fuel pump isn't running. I bypassed the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump came on. So from there I started the diagnostics for the LH control unit. I disconnected the LH control unit and started testing the connector terminals. On the second test down I found the Control Unit Grounds to be suspect. The culprit, terminal/wire number five. When testing the grounds with terminal 18, terminals 11 and 25 both grounded but terminal 5 did not. So, I was wondering if anyone knew where wire number 5 ran to so I could check where it's grounded. I wanted to check the connection of the wire to the terminal in the back of the connector but I couldn't figure out how to pull off the backing of the connector properly; I'm afraid of breaking it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
