I switched mine from side to side at 150K on my 87 900S. Now at 300K and they are going strong. Not a bad job at all. And it is an opportunity to just go through the front end. Although perhaps not strictly necessary, you might consider changing tie rods and ball joints while you are in there! I suppose, at some point, I might have to purchase a couple new drivers. On the other hand, at $300 a side I'm thinking a junkyard run to harvest a few for the future might make sense. (I have three OG 900s to care for and feed.)
