get a can of computer power duster, like compucessory power duster (TM).
Turn it upside down (against the instructions) and squirt the fluid onto the heat sink/ignition amplifier as soon as it stalls. If it starts right up, you've identified the failure.
If the car starts right up anyway after stalling after 15 minutes, good luck. Intermittent failures are murder until they fail solid.
I"m chasing an intermittent BMW left front HID failure/non start. The dealer replaced the module (ballast?) which dropped the non start rate way down, but it still does it. I even put in new bulbs (2003 OEM changed out with new OEM) which BTW jacked up the lumenage (new word!) about 50%...HID bulbs DO wear out! But the new left hand bulb still fails to light when cold about twice a week in the morning. One morning it wouldn't light all the way to work...about 40 miles. Lit fine that afternoon.
