12.000-20.000 miles. No.#6 Plugs for non-turbo and No.#7 for turbo models I also have a air power plug cleaner that uses a fine grit to clean the electrodes. The bottom line on plugs is to visually inspect the plugs for wear and erosion to the ceramic insulator and the metal wire protruding from the center of the plugs. Decreasing gasoline mileage is also a sign of a need for a complete tune-up. I also, only use NGK brand spark plugs for the last 30 years. Never had a problem with them. Watch out for the heat range No.#. NGK plug are hotter the higher the number whereas some American plug are the opposite, Hotter with lower number. It's also best to stay with the manufacturer recommendation, unless there is modification to the stock engine. Another thing is, you can't go by just seeing spark at the plug to determine if it's good. A lot of things happen under pressure.
