Hello,

Sounds like you have a short. Its very common on the classic 900 because the tail light grounding all goes through one ground on the left tail light. That ground will eventually burn out, causing this to happen (on my car it only happened when i pressed the brake). You should be able to find a document about how to rewire the ground, just do a search for ground tail light issues. Its an easy fix but you might have more than one problem, check the tail light grounding first though it will appear melted if its damaged.
