i found some nice seats at a junkyard that match my int. colour. i wanna get the seats out but i need some help/ideas on how best to do it.
the issues are:
- because the car's power is nonexistent the back bolts are blocked
- car has no battery so the seats can't be moved fwd
- can't see the positive lead that would connect to the battery
- red power lead cut (the one that runs along pass. fender well and then across engine - in front)
i asked someone that works at the yard how people do such things and he said you can use a battery from a power drill (not sure how that would work) or bring a spare car battery and get power to the car.
the key is in the ignition so i hope that if the car got power i'd be able to get the seats moved but not sure.
any ideas and how best to tackle this would be good. i also need to know what tools i would need to do this. looks like there is a rather large torx bolt holding in the front of the seat, assuming the back is the same.
few more questions:
- is it just 4 torx bolts?
- would these seats from a 1993 fit in my 1991? (i am guessing yes but wanna make sure)
- is there anything i wouldn't need to take when removing the seats? (ie; stuff that i can repurpose from my car)
I REALLY WANNA GET THESE SEATS, AND HOPE I CAN B4 SOMEONE ELSE!!!!
Cheers, Neil
