Buy a conversion kit so you have the gauge with hose. Then get about two or three cans of 'ARCTIC CHILL" brand freon. Wal-Mart has both. The kit has the adapters conversion connectors for the hose hook-up. Look down on the passenger front wheel well and look for the low pressure switch. It's on top of the drier (black cylinder). I had to remove the horn to get to it, then jumper wire the two connectors and connect freon and pierce the freon can and open the piercing tool back up. Start engine and engaged the AC button. Remember to shake can before hand and then while adding freon. Try two cans at first. Fill the low pressure side only. Check for compressor operation before you purchase the supplies, since you won't be able to charge without the compressor working. Test compressor momentarily so it doesn't get damaged. WEAR SAFTEY GOGGLES!!! I know most times you need to run a vacuum on the system first, but I haven't needed to do this since there the system is just low on freon and not empty of it. The gauge is color coded and I think it's the upper blue thats correct. Run engine speed up while adding and allow some time to settle as the gauge will at first read into the over-charged range. The adapter for the low pressure is thr lower of the two fittings. You don't need to remove the upper one. I tried the kit since it didn't cost too much just to give it a try. If it didn't work, I was going to have an AC tech. fix it. Lots of luck.
