I am always skeptical of any additive that "fixes" a mechanical problem - yes some fuel injector cleaner such as techron helps clear out deposits but in the case of transmissions - its seems to me that if you have an emerging problem you are beyond the point where an additive is going to help and if you are not at that point then the question is why do you need it?

As for the often argued point - it can't hurt - well there have been some postings here that suggest that Lucas in 5 speeds causes frothing which can cause problems (photos of said problem posted on this site somewhere)

so at the end of the day - who knows??????
