Missing tools:
-6mm Allen wrench for the two AC bracket bolt’s. A standard Allen wrench with a long handled open ended wrench looped over the end for leverage will do the trick… just be careful not to strip the bolt’s.
-Long pry bar for leveraging the alternator for R/R the belts. A crow bar will work but the straighter the better
-use some Loctite on the 16mm alternator adjustment bolt nut, as well as the bottom mount nut. Sounds like overkill but they have a way of working lose sometimes. I got so sick of dealing with this that I added a second nut to the adjustment bolt to lock it in place.
Missing parts
I only see two alternator bushing’s there… the adjuster arm bushing is missing.
How is your water pump? If the condition is questionable, this is a good time to replace it.
Tips:
-A little wheel bearing grease will help hold the oil pump gasket in place while trying to reinstall the oil pump.
-break the (4) 10 mm water pump pulley bolts free (but don’t remove) before removing the belts. The belt will hold the pulley in place; do the same when putting it back together.
-87’ right? I’m not sure if your bottom AC bracket bolt location is a bolt hole in the bracket or a groove… but if it’s a bolt hole on the bottom location (behind the alternator) grab a dermal or other cutting tool of choice and make the hole a slot that is wide enough for the bracket to slip out from around the 12 mm bolt. This way in the future you will need to loosen the bolt to flip the AC out of the way as apposed to removing the bolt all together… big time saver in a cramp space.
-Check the alternator ground and alternator/starter power cable while swapping the bushing’s… a 21 y/o care is a good candidate for brittle connections
-read twice and do the project once… (I assume you have a Bentley manual)
Good Luck, have fun
