I bought a cheap high density sleeping pad for camping out from Kmart. I used the foam on the bottom in place of the burlap sack and then used some very strong wire ties around the springs to keep them from stretching too far under load. This firmed up my seat tremendously and really made it feel nice. If I were to do it again, I would maybe do two layers around the edge and in the lumbar area to give it more contour like the Viggen seats have.
