More info needed:
So it normally starts when cold (from overnight parking)?
And it doesn't start after sitting at work (your gfriend hadn't driven it all day)? Or does it fail to start after it's warmed up?
When it fails to start, is everything dead, the starter not even able to crank over? Or does the starter spin the motor but the ignition/fuel is not cooperating and it's not starting like that?
It drives fine when it does start? No problems other than this intermittent condition?
I doubt the battery drain is preventing it from starting, if it can crank over sufficiently (either by itself or from a jump) the battery shouldn't be the problem, or anything in that line (the alternator, starter, etc). Assuming the battery is in decent shape, draining it habitually may inconvenience you but it shouldn't "hurt" anything. If you alternator isn't charging sufficiently, you should be seeing a warning light illuminated on your dash.
Could be a bad temp sensor, a failing Hall sensor in your distributor, maybe the ECU is failing, or the airflow sensor. Maybe there's a bad connection up front somewhere.
I like to blame problems like this on the Hall sensor in the distributor after intermittent no-start problems vexed me a couple of years ago. But that's a pure guess from what I read about your problem.
Need more info...
There are a lot of posts here about no-start conditions, you could try searching some more.
Good luck.
