I was reinstalling the shifter after replacing the ignition switch and found a broken plastic collar on the shift-rod next to the shifter housing -- white in color -- what was left was c shaped instead of a full circle -- what is this and where does it go it was on the rod right at the point the rod enters the shifter -- do I need to replace it by pulling the rod. Also is the shift rod boot available anywhere it is torn at the rod firewall connection.
