Picked up an '88 900T recently.
Recognize some of you, like Ari from the 9000 bb.
Been taking care of things that you take care of with a new buy.

Down to two things
1) Paperwork shows Saab guy used type F in auto, but there's a leak and seller threw in some Dextron - that had to go.
BUT, there's a leak at the engine/transmission (auto remember) gasket area. Before I separate these, I think I'll try the old standby and re-torque the bolts connecting auto to engine.

SO - anyone know the torque settings for those bolts, and the tightening pattern? (it's 70 ft-lbs for a 9000, but my 900 manual doesn't cover this.)

2) I got a valve tapping sound (16 valve B202 engine). It's not awful, but it is noticable in comparison to my 9000. Note - top end of engine rebuilt 30k miles ago. Not positive it's a valve, but similar sound. Timing chain & guides done with prev. work. Harmonic balancer looks good. Anything to worry about here?
