while the tranny shifted cleanly into the gears after the event, that doesn't mean all the teeth were present. Actually, the ring/pinion were among the few surviving parts.
The case is solid, but internal bits, according to my transmission guy, are very difficult to get other than through Saab for the long dollar. Is that true? if someone knows a source, let me know. I will forward it on.
