Last week I test drove a 1992 900 base 3 door with 220,000 miles on it. The car ran nicely and was clean in and out with no rust anywhere. The engine compartment looked nice and clean also. Only a couple of problems, it needs an alignment and the guy who took care of the car and knows everything about it has been out of town caring for an injured family member and nobody seems to be able to get a hold of him.

Car # 2. 1991 900 base 3 door has 75,000 miles, and all records but has more problems. It needs tires, ABS light is on, weird knocking noise when accelerating(I think bad gas from being stored 10 months). It also has surface rust on every body panel with an ugly bondo rust patch job just below the rear window, and the leading edge on the hood is pretty rusty.

Both people want $1650.00 for the cars. I need to make a decision before going off to school in Ohio in a week and a half.

Any advice or opinions is greatly appreciated.
