+ others. 1. Tried MOT inspection and failed cause of failed side blinker, dirty rack and exhaust leakage. Oh, and I forgot the location of engine ID. What a shame... 2. Gave a ride to local independent shop to get exhaust fixed (intermediate and rear pipes should be pushed a bit into the silencer). Before leaving the shop we started Valkyrie and lifted him once again to check for leaks... they were still there. Mechanic started kicking the silencer with hammer to get the interm. pipe moved inside the silencer. In 3 minutes he was done and I was leaving the shop away when I noticed SRS light blinking. In 5 minutes it was constant. After restart it goes into blinking again. 3. Checked my docs, checked this BB history, did some googling a bit - now I know almost everything I should know at this time. Only one thing is missing: will Tech2 with appropriate connector get the code out and get it cleared? There is *NOT* a single shop all over Russia having SRS tester, only Tech2's. The diagnostic socket in the center console appears to be the same as one on 9K's (but there it's also used for DI diagnostics). Some history that might help (or mislead) one having an answer for me: - I did a heavy wash under the hood with karcher (remember dirty rack?) on a day before. Car misfired for half an hour but later it run fine. SRS light was off. Maybe there's some water in the SRS sensor connectors (but they look fine at the 1st sight), I'll check them tomorrow. - There was some hand-job with a silencer on a running car. Silencer had been kicked in the longitudinal direction. I believe SRS ECU just thought that I was continuously bumping a wall. Or another car. Strange that it didn't decide to blow out the SRS cartridge. Or maybe it tried but the safety sensor located inside the ECU disabled the cartridge detonation? What codes should I expect to appear there in Tech2? What do they mean? What code stands for SRS ECU kaput (steering wheel blow out)? This post will remain being topical till Monday. Later answers might be of some help for further attempts (pre-scheduled for next Friday). Ziggy, still having a hope to save some cents...
