Have chance to buy new top with window for my 900S, which has many many rips and gets soaked when it rains. Question is, does a Saab top, part #485-0418 (noted to fit a '94 900) fit my '92? Does it make a difference if mine is a turbo? Why would Saab change the body or top just for a different engine configuration?

Also, my radio is toast and blows fuses and causes shorts like crazy. Husband wants a radio -- I don't care for one. To make the man happy, am looking at a radio/cd set from Clarion, Saab part #45 18 932 (radio) and part #45 18 940 (cd). How can one tell if that particular unit will fit the 900 I have? Have tried calling the only dealer in the area, but they don't have any info on Saabs prior to 96, when they began carrying them -- sheesh! Maybe they know they won't get much business from me? (had car towed to their garage after it died last year, and they towed it to a private mechanic because they couldn't work on it -- this is not a confidence-builder) Appreciate your fast help for the parts compatability question. No more sob stories for today. SuzAnne
