In the US, the AERO model was sold as the SPG (Special Performance Group) in the 900 model range, 1985-1991. One true way to determine if the car is a factory SPG is to remove the inside plastic panel on the passenger side door and look for a paper label on the metal frame marked, "AERO" Only takes a couple of minutes to remove the panel, so maybe the seller will allow. Good luck!
