First thanks for the help, seems I only come here when I have a problem...

I have a '91 TC that needs a new top. I have the glass from the old one.

Ebay has tops for sale without a window but can the glass be put into the new top? I know a guy that has done tops for years and says it can't be done.
The difference of the tops is several hundred $$$ and I'm trying to pay off insurance copays from my wife's Breast cancer fight(she won). SO the top was bad when I bought the car a year ago but figured I would get it replaced after the first of (last)the year but that's when her sister died of BC and she found that she had it so top had to wait.

Now I don't have much choice, the material is so bad it just rips if you touch it.

So my question again is if I buy a top on Ebay without a window can I put my glass in it, what kind and where do I get the adhesives to do it?
