and if you need a picture do a post here and I will take one and post here. As to using tamper proof Torx screws... maybe so someone would not tamper with them??? The more usual Torx are *not* the tamper proof (don't have the little pin in the middle, that pin blocks normal torx drivers), and in fact you usually have two in your incar tool kit. T-15 and T-20 are used extensively. One T-10 0n the turbo airbox mount, a few T-25 and T-27 here and there, but the 15 and 20 are the norm.

If you are a DIY person I highly recommend the following in addtion to what you most likely already have, assuming you already have metric!

A 7mm and 8mm flex shaft handle drivers, gets around corners with ease and stays on the works and allows excellent force too. outstanding for hose clammps, 8mm for the turn signals up front. the auction site has a set of two or maybe four that includes a 6mm (mostly useless) and a 1/4 driver handle, sometimes useful. About $15 for the pair from DAMAK or others.

a set of inexpensive Torx handles, something like $15 at the usual Autoparts places, Autozone, Pep boys, Kragen, Chief, etc. Not meant for mechanics high frequency usage, but that's not you is it? Ha.

a set of flare wrenches if you are doing clutchs, brake lines away from the calipers. These look like a box ended wrench but with one flat surface cut away, you slip them over the tube and then slide up to and over the nut in question, grips on more than the two sides that an open ended wrench will do. you will be surprised if you've never used them how well $15 or so works and keeps you moving forward instead of dealing with a rounded off nut that makes a job take 3X the time it should!

A magnetic pickup, get a strong one and avoide the ones with the flexible shaft - they are too hard to control - get one with a one or two piece telescoping (think radio antenna but thicker) shaft and maybe a fitting on the end that allows the magnet to point in different directions. $8

If you have Craftsman metric wrenches great. But also consider getting an inexpensive ($15-$30) set of the "no name" wrenchs that look somewhat like Snap-On wrenchs (smooth and shiney) because they are thinner and get places the Craftsman ones can't. you can often find a combo Metric and SAE set near the cash register, an impulse purchase, and it's worth it. NOT the 98 piece everything set, just the wrenches.

One of those screwdrivers that has a reversible shaft and two (or more!) bits in it that are each reversible. this gives large& small phillps and large & small straight tips. Not the one with 24 different little bits, I have a bag of those - do you want them? $8 for a good one, I like that orange handle one, not Craftsman either.

If your socket set is 12 point that is great, but *consider* purchasing either a 6 point set *or* just the needed ones in six point. The oil drain plug should be a 13mm and you should *only* use a six point on it.

There are tons of other tools of course, and I am a tool junkie, but the above should total under $80 and will make your DIY time much more productive and less painful!

Oh, the three other tools I really like are:

A set of handles (2 1/2" drive and 2 3/8" drive) that are similar to the 1/4" drive handles you may have for 1/4" sockets. A couple of improvements on these are 1) it's a solid metal shaft from end to end so it's *really* an extention with a plastic handle wrapped around it (and you get a short one and a long one), 2) it has a great handle on it so your sockets are now really nut drivers of what ever size 3) the tip has a sliding ring so it locks the socket on! and 4) if you have ever gone back and forth with "is it loose enough so I can twist the extension and not use the ratchet wrench..." this takes care of that! about $50 on the that auction site. DAMAK is where I got mine.

The second tool, if you change plugs alot, have alot of cars, etc, Autozone and sure others, is a magnetic spark plug wrench, saab 900/9000 size, with a built in extention about 10" long for 3/8" ratchet, AND it's flexible to the plug socket but does not come apart... what a back saver! It's like having a magnetic plug socket with a flexible joint and a 10" extention all in one. About $15

I have a couple of 18" 1/2" breaker bars. Yes two, I purchased one and a 19mm socket for my son to use for changing flats put in his car, he's bigger now and I repossesed it! I should have purchased the 24" breaker bar but it was $10 more (than the $15 for than 18") and I thought I didn't need it. Doing headgasket jobs and that 90 degree thing on the head bolts finally made me try one (I could take it back if I wasn't "sold" on it.) Spend the extra $10 and skip the 18" breaker bar! Works great on wheel nuts, wheels bolts and lugs too, and I can still slip the handle from floor jack over it to get four feet of leverage. about $25

I'll have to start adding tool pictures to my photos.
