Rust, rust and ...rust. On a 22 year old convertible, rust would be my biggest concern. Almost anything else can be reasonably repaired. Bodywork is not cheap.
What's the price? I've seen '88-'93 convertibles go from $1500 to $5000 for pretty good examples. I just bought an '89 for $900 and all it needed was a rear curtain and the shift coupler replaced. The P.O. thought the rebuilt tranny he just installed was shot.
This is a minor collectable, being the first year of the convertible, but unless you can run it or it is cheap, cheap, cheap, I'd find something else.
