Buckmath, You most likley know from previous postings that I highly recommend "Lucas automactic transmission conditioner", one bottle, to add to your trans. Won't have to drain any fluid out as the bottle isn't enough to overfill the trans. to any dangerous point. When my large shop is nearing completion, I will be also interested in learning to rebuild the Saab automatic transmission. The rebuild seals and band kits are very inexpensive, under $200, less any bearings. I think torque converters last forever. Let me know your results if you use the Lucas product. Others question my use and recommending the usage, but I think it's without trying it. It's the red thick liquid and "NOT" the amber color oil additive. I try that type in my 87/9000 turbo trans.(5 speed) and it blew a bearing, because of the oil weight by increasing the static pressure on the bearing. The old trans. was getting loud anyway! SO ???? Now I only use what Saab recommends, 10-30w, in the 9000 replacement trans.
