i used two different grits, the purple which is the roughest and good for taking down material with, then i used the blue disc which is a lot finer and good for getting that polished finish. the last step was a big buffer wheel i had at my work. that really got the mirrored finish that you see. there was a lot of hard to reach spots that didnt come out "perfect" but still damn nice! if you tackle this job get ready for countless hours of sanding and metal debris all over the place!! the result is very rewarding though.
