I personally am not happier with the Honda, because my wife will be driving it. It is the cheapest Honda you can buy, and one short ride may indicate exactly why the big 3 in Detroit are in trouble. It has 1.5 L engine, about the size of your average lawn mower. This is coupled to a 5 speed automatic, and I'm quite sure it will leave a NA Saab automatic in the dust. It is a marvel of modern engineering, a subcompact that has plenty of room for a 6'3" 300 lb fat guy, with room to spare. I only wish I could have driven my classic Saabs when they were fresh from the showroom. This thing gets 35 MPG. Safety is not a prime concern in NJ. We have a very low highway fatallity rate. It is awful hard to injure yourself in a highway crash if yo can't get going faster than 10MPH anyway.
