The line is pretty well protected from any chance of damage from below.
Either your clutch master is bad or just possibly your clutch slave.
Can first show up during cold weather as it makes the rubber cup's lip less flexible.
Before doing anything I'd keep pushing down on the clutch. It might start grabbing, or the friction could warm things enough to get it to start grabbing, then it might be okay enough to drive it to a garage.
Do you belong to AAA? It's pretty cheap. Join now, and have them tow the car to a Saab specialist garage of your choice (within 5 miles I think is free, for basic AAA).
If you've ever used a bicycle pump and had the plunger shoot straight to the floor without pushing the air, then grab on the next try... well, that's what I'm saying is probably going on.
Most likely it's the clutch master cylinder going bad. Very unlikely the snow, however deep, did anything.
I know this is a late answer but with the holidays, maybe the car is still sitting there and you haven't done anything yet.
Rebuilding the cylinder yourself, or replacing it with a new one, is not something you probly want to tackle yourself, especially in the snow on a NYC street.
