Yeah, I think that's what he's thinking of.
While I don't doubt that C900s have run the hill, the most recent were a "mildly" modified NG900 (is/was part of the GM Heritage Collection) in the late 90's, and the monster 9-3 Viggen by Trollspeed with AWD, longitudinal dry-sump motor, and 750 or so HP built specifically for Pikes Peak in 2000. The record he set in the Open Category back in 2000 still stands...
BTW - the resemblance of Per's car to any real 9-3 Viggen is purely coincidental, and for blatant marketing purposes... :-)
