Try Saab belts... Posted by Larry West [Email] (#1140) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Larry West) on Mon, 2 Mar 2009 09:57:52 In Reply to: Saab 900i 1993- 2.1L Non Turbo Belt Issues, GMcB, Sun, 1 Mar 2009 23:20:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The dealer spare part belts come as a matched pair for the car, and are guaranteed to both be the same length. If you buy belts individually from another spare part source, they often won't be exactly the same length (even though they are the same part #), and that could be the source of the problem, as one belt could be overly tight. I noticed a considerable difference on two Continental belts I got via my dealer...
With the belts out, eyeball the pulley alignment, just to be sure. And make certain you're on the right grooves on the balancer.
