Like I said BEFORE you stated his asking price of a K. The tranny issue alone makes it no more than 1/3rd K.good luck, and cruise other available saabs for sale, it may bring you to your senses. Man I bought up 5 saabs in as many moths, then the market fell, so once the cats and scrape were worth almost as much as I paid ,but not so now. Even so parting them out and /or rebuilding them IS timeconsuming (suck up every spare moment of your time for 2 years is more than kind) but now its cold, the daily driver developed a head gasket issue, so I drive the sedan for now as the verts stay covered. Bottom line is I can always fix them in my mind a lot faster and trouble free than is reality. Get a non- addicted non Saab friend to shake you and slap your face. I sort of wish I'd had one of those. The greater saab gods here (myself excluded)have already told you the truth you really did not want to hear. Good luck no matter what you decide. But if you pay more than $300, don't have a readily available cheap supply of Saab donor cars, a indoor garage thats heated, and lots of spare time, you'll likely regret this adoption.
