First, I'd jack the car up and grab an axle and try to shake it. In my case the passenger side axle shook very easily. From what I've gathered, the passenger side goes first, as the heat from the exaust header cooks the grease. I found that my inner driver had grooves worn in the surface, and I replaced it with a new one. If you find your's are worn, and decide to do the swap, I must warn you, I 've read on another site that if you pull both inner drivers at the same time, something you'd have to do if you were swapping them, a shaft in the transmission drops down in the case. I guess it is somewhat supported by the inner driver shafts. So in a nut shell, I'd try to determine whether both sides need attention or if only one. if only one side seems bad, and the inner driver is bad, I'd go with a new one, and the save the old one and use it when the time comes to do the other side. I found that it wasn't a terribly difficult task. Good Luck
