So a month ago I had a shock start leaking so I spend an afternoon and replaced them all with a nice set of KYBs. Rode and handled great!
4 days later the harmonic balancer decided to disintegrate. Ok, well, it was a bit of a b1tch but I did it.
2 days later I drove the car to work. After I got home in the evening I started it up to go get dinner and the garage FILLED with white smoke complete with antifreeze lightly dripping out of the tail pipe. (The car has never been overheated in the 6 years I've owned it)
This weekend I finally got all the parts I needed to fix my blown headgasket and swap in a 2.1L head and intake.
Things went as well as could be expected for having never done this before. Had more than my share of annoyances but nothing I couldn't overcome.
While the car was sitting in the driveway, idling smoother and quieter then it ever has since I've owned it (warming up for the head bolt re-torque), the radiator blew a hole.
I could use some reminding as to why I continue to love my SPG.
