the devil is always in the details... :)
I use brake cleaner to complete clean the area, then some 400 wet and dry sand paper on the brass tube to clean it up. Use some more on wrapped on the shaft of a philipps head screw driver to lightly burnish the inside of the TB where this goes.. then wash it all down again with brake cleaner. dry with paper towel as this wicks stuff away nicely.
I used JB Weld, it's epoxy too... I have one of those round plastic butter containers where I keep my JB Weld, I spread equal amounts of the two parts on the inside of the lid and use a tooth pick to mix it (keep the toothpick for later) spread a small bead on the brass tube and insert into the TB, push it in hard, maybe even give it a rap with the handle of a cresent or combo wrench. The use a small screw driver to completely encircle the brass with the mix, trowel it all the way around, keep pushing it back until it starts to set up. make sure you push that toothpick into the remaining stuff on the lid and let it sit. clean the screw driver (or whatever you used) with some brake cleaner and that piece of paper towel. you can poke the remaining JB weld or epoxy on the lid to see if it gets hard. if you mixed it properly it will. for awhile you will be able to dent it... eventually it will be as hard as plastic and you are done. you can take that lid and flex/bend it and the stuff will pop off, trash that and close up your epoxy/jbweld kit until the next time.
Now, and now before, you can slip the hose to the AIC back on and clamp it...
