Interesting enough, lately I have had several older 900 with a split in the fuel line right around where it enters the fuel rail.
Some were high enough to cut and reattach to banjo bolt but some were further down and I had to splice the fuel line using a barbed brass butt connector of proper size (Lowes and Homedepot usually have a pretty good selection).
It's really nothing going on in that area except heat and vibration so it must be just be old age.
When splicing these lines you should not use heat but just push the fuel line onto the barbs cold.
Heat will damage the memory of the plastic and it will not retract and hug the barbs as good as when doing it cold.
