brake light fix - second round!

Just fixed the brake light problem for a second time on our 1993 sedan. First time around, it got the ground treatment (as per Townsend's site). This time, brake lights in the trunk failed but 3rd eye was fine. Turns out it was the connector pin for the brake signal that was bad. Bad contact on the incoming wire's contact + therefore through the connector to passengers side as well. Cleaned + pried out the contact + it works once again.
Next job will be the central locking... grrr... I have a lot of experience in electronics - these electrical system "issues" frustrate me. Every EE knows connectors are usually the first things to fail. Nonstandard and/or substandard electrical connections drive me nuts (same problem for the SIDs in the newer cars). Mind you, the fact that the car gets soaked in oil annually probably doesn't help them!
Thanks to everyone on the site who posted re this topic in the past - a quick search of your posts reduced my debug time...
