Thanks for the offer of tools. I found that none are needed. The '85 radio has a facia that is a soft vinyl. I was able to put one of my seal picks (like a dentist tool but the one I use is a right angle) into each slot and unhook the facia from the radio. The is actual a small portrusion from the facia that catched the radio but gently putting forward released it. Once the facia is off it just took a minute to slide the latch below keys number 2 & 4 to unlatch the radio and then it slid out using the cassette area as a grip. Interesting that the '85 radio does not even require a code!
