Fuel Pump Relay Overheating? Posted by bert [Email] (#365) [Profile/Gallery]

I'm still chasing a stalling issue and decided to change the system + fuel pump relay to see if it makes a difference. '91 900 S, No check engine light, changed the air mass meter for a known working one, new fuel pump, new coil. After getting access to the two relays ( pain in the butt location ) I noticed that the fuel pump relay gets really hot while the car is running. I was actually backed to the insolation of the car and was really hard to get out. The pins are not burned, just the relay housing was melted to the insolation. This does not look normal to me. Does anybody know if this is a sign of a short in the wiring harness ? Any tips are appreciated.
